For clarity: Application Menu is the cascading menu 'Windows 95' style K
Menu launcher. (Application Launcher is the launcher formerly known as
Kickoff).

Add an item: open the Application Menu, open the Power/Session submenu,
right click an entry eg Restart, Add to Favourites.

Remove an item: right click it in the Favourites area at bottom left of
the launcher menu and 'Remove from Favourites'. Or find the item in the
cascading menus and do the same there.

Also works for other menu entries, not just shutdown/logout options.

cheers
