We're here to contribute

Dear openSUSE KDE Team,

The past few weeks a few of us Plasma lovers came together and decided that instead of just talking, filing bug reports and making requests we would like to take part of the way Plasma is creted and shipped for the rest of the project. 
In this we turn to you and offer our help where it is needed. We're happy and eager to learn and help out. 
I assembled a "short" list of volunteers who would be interested in helping out in the project:


Adrien: A Haskell and Python fanboy with great coordination skills, contributor at the openSUSE docs project, helping out the news and communities, close to get his PhD.

Andi: 32 years old, coming from Gießen (Hessen,Germany). Using Linux over 5 years - Fedora user; Fedora contributor; Silverblue, openSUSE TW/MicroOS "enthusiast"; Hacking skills: Python, Java, C, C++.

Andres: An electrical engineer student, knows a few things about specfiles and how the KDE team manages the releases, currently digging through the release scripts at https://github.com/openSUSE/KDEteam.

"I don't really know what I want to learn from this, but I'll definitely learn something useful and I just want to work on openSUSE KDE, since the two open source projects I enjoy the most are openSUSE and KDE."

Onuralp: Working as a Mechatronic Engineer also working as Fedora Mindshare Council Member, Fedora KDE Sig Member, Fedora packager. Has experience wit Qt, QML, cpp, and started opencv/AI education. Fedora user in the past ~10 years.

Lastly, myself: "DevOps" engineer, small business owner with some Python knowledge, openSUSE docs contributor, with some experience in packaging for other distros, fast learner, openSUSE and Plasma lover, FOSS enthusiast in the past 18 years.


To help our efforts and maybe an easier way of getting to know each other I would suggest maybe a video call on meet.opensuse.org. We know that you're very busy, so this bit is optional, but we found that communication moves things faster. Either way feel free to point us to a direction where we can get in touch, what is it that we need or recommended to learn and see where and how we can work together.
