Maybe you could use the snd-intel8x0m module and slmodemd instead :-)

kpowersave as delivered in 10.2 still has some bugs (that will be fixed by an
onlineupdate), so maybe the "resumed"-event just does not work now.

It works fine for me on lid close, though i have not tried it with suspend
events.
