My scim-m17n troubles were the result of a bug in (x)Ubuntu 6.06.
With Ubuntu 5.10 it worked just fine, though. To be sure, I tested it with
Fedora Core 5 too. FC5 works perfectly after editing only a single text file.
Apparently then, the latest Ubuntu is not entirely scim-proof. This is not a
good thing for such a popular distro, that claims to be multilingual. Which I
btw otherwise tend to like.
[Suse is, needless to say, still the best choice as far as Scim is concerned.]
