gcin is an input method framework for Chinese.
Home page: http://hyperrate.com/dir.php?eid=67 (mainly written in Chinese)
The project is created by the original author of xcin: Edward Liu (eliu)
I have packaged gcin for openSUSE in my home:swyear for years
Many linux users would rather use gcin when they don't want to use scim
I think our openSUSE should supply gcin as an optional choice for these people.
For now, Mandriva, Debian, Fedora (and Ubuntu) have offical build of gcin.

BTW, gcin can use as an front end of anthy
so if you use Japanese and want to try...
Install gcin and anthy
edit your ~/.profile to add
export INPUT_METHOD=gcin
after relogin to X
press "Ctrl-Alt =" can switch to input Japanese.

Now the package is available in M17N:Devel for 11.1
But fail for 11.0 and 10.3
It's strange, because gcin can build success in my home:swyear ???
For Factory fail too...Not sure what's the change in Factory

With Regards
