MIDI problem

My MIDI sound is not working with my i815 soundchip and SuSe 8.0.
I have downloaded the upgrade and configurated it with alsaconf, but
it's not working more, the driver is the correct one, the snd-intel18x0.o.
Only the PCM sound is OK, timidity is working fine.
With Mozilla, it's strange: if the link is a direct link to a MIDI file,
it's working, but if the MIDI file is linked
with an embed tag in the code of the page, all i get is a little comment
at the bottom  "running helper..." and no sound at all.

If i try with configuration, son, MIDI in the kdm menu, i get at i have
no MIDI port.
In the config menu, sound, mixing console is not working at all. Kmidi
is working but
i can see the leds taht go up and  down, but i hear nothing. With kmid,
it's worse, i get only a crash with signal 11 from it or kdm.

Can somebody help me with to fix this problem? I'm sure at it must be
a possibility to have the seuquencer working. I have proved with 
timidity as server, but i don't now how i must configure the MIDI ports 
to have them to work, all i get is a message like what timidity was 
working and att it was 2 Midi ports, but back in configuration, sound, 
midi, nothing is here..

I have RTFMed and proved a lot of things but nothing  have helped. 
I have compile and run the test in the MIDI-mini-howto and the result is 
at the libraries are installed.
When i click to a MIDI file in konqueror, i can see the interface in 
koncqueoror but a message is coming
"/dev/sequencer cannot  be opened, another program is probably using it"
Have somebody a sugestion?
