SOLVED: How to disable 'dmix' for Terratec DMX 6Fire (ice1712)?

Apperantly the clipping and chopping problems of my ice1712 based
sound card got solved by installing gst-plugins-ugly, libmad, a later
version of banshee and removing Helix-banshee.
