I think I'm already coming to the same conclusion. 50-80 UKP spent on a video 
card that allows me to use Cinelerra must be the best option.

I agree with the sentiment, but have to admit that I'm usually too lazy to 
actually write the letters. Note to self - don't be such a wimp, just do it!
