I can't confirm this, but unfortunately I am not able to create a useful bug 
report. Generally I would say, there are problems when there is heavy load on 
the hard drives and a lot of mp3s have to be updated. If it is a "lucky" 
situation amarok can be killed, otherwise only a hard reset helps. In normal 
situations amarok works now fine, but compared to mpd/gmpc very slow.

Should I ever be able to write a useful bugreport I will do it, but I don't 
amarok use a lot anymore.
