Flash, the disgusting necessary evil pig

11.2, FF 3.6.12

Does everyone suffer flash-containe gobbling 11%-12% CPU (3.4GHz P4) when no 
tabs containing flash objects are either non-paused or in the foreground? 
What is the pig doing in those background tabs or while paused?
