Sounds like it creates the dvd structure during the loading of the file if the format is correct. Have a look in the setup options and see 
where it makes the dvd structure ie. menus etc. and see if this is what is happening. The app might have a command line verbose or debug 
option and you may be able to pick something up there.
I use DVDStyler although mandvd seemed the easiest to use the others didn't work for me although it must be a year ago when I explored 
them. AFAIR one of the dvd apps allowed you to enter the commands used for dvd creation.
