this might be a bit off topic, perhaps not, but, if i recall correctly, Jor=

Schilling  is the original creator of cdrecord, and, somehow he found himse=
lf=20
in disfavor with the rest of the linucs world, something about ego / rights=
=20
and/or something about the open licensing standard and so on.  This was a=20
while ago, and i sincerely hope things got patched between Jorge and the=20
community, his code seemed to always work while wodim and other scripts=20
floundered numerous times in the past 3-4 years...
