Hello. Just a bit stupid and straight question. Sound card is SB Live! 5.1, has been detected during the installation, working normally - as minimum I hear stereo sound immediately after installation (MP3, Audio CD). DVD-ROM drive is also Ok - DVD can be mounted right from the desktop, I see the files on DVD just as filesystem on any media. How to play DVD in 5.1? Speakers is as usual, 2 front, 2 rear, center and subwoofer, connected to SB Live! 5.1 properly, in Windows I hear all 5 channels and subwoofer + I am able to control sound fading (pan the sound) and volume of the center channel separately. What should be used in SuSE Linux 8.1? I mean 1) DVD Player and 2) the mixer to control 5.1 sound fading/volume e.t.c. On my first look at KDE installed with whole "Multimedia" packages - I do not see those software. Could You please copy the answer to [email protected] as well? George
