Web Camera Help Needed

Hi All:
I have just bought and installed a QuickCam Messanger from Logitech. I have 
never had a web cam before and have little knowledge about them. So far I 
have not been able to get any picture out of it using GonmeMeeting. Can any 
one help me get it working or if the product does not work suggest something 
that is current and works. Thanks for your help
