Re: mplayer / xine does not show DVDs smoothly on 8.2

I am running xine 0.9.13 which plays films perfectly, the xine supplied with 
8.2 worked, but I got no sound. (Despite much guidance from the maintainer, I 
could not get the packman.links2liunx.de RPMs to work to save my life...)

Recalling my own mistakes, may I ask if you have enabled DMA?  You might need 
the (small) patch available from SuSE
