Yes. It works well in 8.2 with an SBlive 5.1 card. It nearly all worked 
from YaST. I had to fiddle with a few settings using alsamixergui to get 
the sound right. Don't set anything too high. You can hear all six 
speakers when you play a .wav file from disk or when you play a DVD.
