Thanks for all the great replies...I visisted the packman site and got
mplayer running fine...it's playing all my avis nows...thanks a bunch
guys.

Now I just gotta figure out how to make the video brighter...it's all
too dark.  In xp I can advanced desktop settings and adjust to settings
for my video card...but as far as I can tell...there's no options like
this in suse. I'm still searching through google to come up with
something. Turning brightness up mplayer doesn't help at all.
