Sound Problems: Santa Cruz/Turtle Beach on SuSE 9.0 Prof

Hi everyone,

I'm not sure what happened, but today my soundcard stopped working.
It's the Santa Cruz from Turtle Beach
Driver: CS4614/22/24 CrystalClear SoundFusion Accelerator

The card works fine under Win2K (Dualbootsystem), so I don't think the
card
itself is the problem.

What changed is that I updated to KDE 3.2 Final yesterday (including
all
the other files that go with it like arts, qt3, etc), before I had the
RC1
version running. I downloaded it via YAST from SuSE. Yesterday the
sound
worked fine, but now I can't remember if I listened to music after the
reboot.

Has anyone else problems with this particular driver? I can install
the
onboard sound chip without a problem (VT82C686 AC97), and it does
work,
but the sound is so bad, that I rather have no sound at all. Any tips
are
welcome.

Thanks
