Re: sound has stopped working

This has happened to me sometimes w/ my laptop.  Here's what I do:

* check the volume control dial... Sometimes pulling the laptop from its 
bag turns the volume all the way down.
* sometimes after an online update, I have to run gamix to turn the 
master volume back on and turn my mic back on. (I lost 2 lectures worth 
of stuff over this one)
