Hello, and sound problems

Hello to every one.  I recently purchased Suse 9.1and installed it onto new
a harddrive beside WinXP.  I am a complete newcomer to Linux, but I would
say that my cpmputer experience is beyond moderate.  Every thing works
beautifully except that I do not have sound with Suse.  Every thing works
fine in XP.  I have run YaST several times and tried to add my sound card to
no avail.  It sees it and tells me it has the driver, but refuses to fully
install it.  I greatly appreciate any help I receive in this matter.  Thank
you all.
