Hello Bert,
By scanning the SuSE-multimedia-e I found out that you had a problem very 
similar to mine. I submitted a bug report 90802 to [email protected]. I would be 
interested if you found out the reason, why sound does not work under SuSE 
9.1, whereas the identical hardware constellation works fine under the dual 
boot Windows ME. Might be, that you meanwhile found out, what the reason of 
the persistent sound muteness was. In that case we could easen the job of 
Dirk Ziegelmeier, who supervises the development of KDETV.
