Has both the avifile project as well as a collection of many
win32-codecs.

These are the codecs; http://avifile.sourceforge.net/binaries-011002.tgz

haven't tried avicap myself yet though I assume putting these codecs in
/usr/lib/win32 would fix things... I know xine (http://xine.sf.net) uses
them.
