Thank you for your hints. Regrettably it is not the solution I am looking for. 
I will give my CD to customers and I can't ask them to go and download 
anything. They just want to put a CD in their drive (or even DVD-drive on 
their TV) and look at it.

So I have to provide such a CD that is just running in "all" computers using 
standard programs that just are there by default. Actually I don't care, if 
at the end it's an avi or an mpg or whatever (I joust thought avi would be 
the right one, it sounded so windowish to me...).

I am almost sure, if I use the right settings in dvd::rip then this should be 
possible. But what are the right settings/codecs? 

Can anybody help...?

b.t.w.: as many people still have old systems (Win 98, ME etc.) I can't use 
something that is just running on XP. DivX, for example, is not supportet for 
Win98 anymore.
