Hello Novell SUSE Linux - Oracle users, We had very successful LinuxWorld, Boston show, Thanks to you all for supporting us. Here is some update you may find it useful. Today, SUSE Linux team released SLES8 SP4, next few months focus will be on SLES9 SP2 and SUSE Linux Professional 9.3. More announcements will follow later. If you are coming to Novell BrainShare, please set your schedule to attend some of Oracle activities. SLES9: ------- High points of SLES9 SP2 will be ocfs2 and Async I/O support. More detail about SP2 availability later. SLES8: ------- Service Pack 4 contains all security fixes released via the maintenance Web since the release of Service Pack 3. SLES 9 Documents (how-to's): ----------------------------------- * How-to documents are updated. * New section " Customer Contribution" is added. * Oracle on Linux VMware Cookbook - Instructions and SLES9 DVD's We are looking for some real customer migration how-to's i.e. 9i to 10g on SLES8/SLES9. You are welcome to share your experience in "how-to" document format.
