Just browsed/grepped /bdump and /udump and could not find any "ORA-07445". The system is pretty stable indeed ( not under lot of stress though ). We do not use Hugepages -> No boot/grub options that I am aware of. and -> cat /proc/meminfo says MemTotal: 12212576 kB MemFree: 481020 kB Buffers: 94992 kB Cached: 10291540 kB ..... ORA-07445 is a generic error, that can appear for various reasons. I was interested to know if Damien ever seen this error, because he described a configuration similar to ours: 32 bit x86 (Xeon) 16 GB RAM VLM and hugepages (~2.1 GB buffer cache + 1.09 GB shared pool) in ~3.34 GB total SGA As I was saying the error appeared after we have changed to VLM. The solution Oracle gave us feels "dirty". -- To unsubscribe, email: [email protected] For additional commands, email: [email protected] Please see http://www.suse.com/oracle/ before posting -- To unsubscribe, email: [email protected] For additional commands, email: [email protected] Please see http://www.suse.com/oracle/ before posting
