Re: Impossible to install Oracle Client 10gR2 on SLES10 64Bit with SP1

Hi Arun,

after reading your mail I also installed "Runtime Client" on a newly setup 
SLES10 with integrated SP1. Installation of Runtime Client was 
successfull! "32bit Runtime Environment" was selected.

Seems so, as there is only a problem when installing SP1 on already 
installed SLES10. "32Bit Runtime Environment" was selected when installing 
SLES10

I installed SP1 in copying the files to disk, set the directory as 
installation source and then install SP1. This is described in an paper 
from Novell.

Any idea what to check to get the diference between two installations?

Hi Frank,

Just now I installed "Runtime Client" on newly setup SLES10 SP1 server
(x86_64)  without any problem. Give a try on new SLES10 SP1 server
(Install server using SLES10 SP1 DVD/CD) and make sure "32bit Runtime
Environment" pattern is selected as mentioned in the document.
