Async bug exists (I am not sure about kernel 287), but configuring 'ASYNC + DIERCT IO' and '1 writer' eliminated it on our case (in reality, this is our default configuration, so I never saw this bug until I did a few experiments with configuration). So it does not looks as a show stopepr (this bug). (But I don't understand, why this bug is not counted as _high priority critical bug_ and is not fixed in online updates, long ago? On the other hand, this bug is pretty easy to reproduce and it affects DEFAULT ORACLE installation, so QA should find it long ago). ----- Original Message ----- From: "Anton Dischner" <[email protected]> To: "SuSE MailingList" <[email protected]> Sent: Tuesday, November 13, 2007 1:47 AM Subject: Re: [suse-oracle] which is newest SLES-9-SP-3-i386-RC4-CD1.iso or SLES-9-SP-3-i386-GM-CD1.iso > Hi Alexei, list > >> It's OK; next ServicePack is scheduled for this december (as I know - I >> do not represent Novell), and for now, most important changes are >> available thru online update. >> >> SLES9 SP3 is stable by itself, but if you run online update and update >> kernel and critical components, it wil be even better. >> > No it is not.
