Hello to everyone I am planning to use RAW devices for our OCR/voting/database files. I am going trough instructions from chapter 3 of "Oracle(r) Database Oracle Clusterware and Oracle Real Application Clusters Installation Guide 10g Release 2 (10.2) for Linux". However, it seems that there is an error in the document (section 3.8) that deals with raw devices permissions on Suse SLES. Isn't udev directory structure on Suse is slightly different than on RedHat? So, what are the proper configuration directories/files used to make persistent raw devices permissions? Also, in case of Oracle11g, how to make block device permissions permanent? Thank you in advance, Vladimir Barac Database administrator | Alghanim Industries P.O.
