Why are you doing it (disable aio in oracle libraries)?

First of all, aio is OFF for the file systems by default. It is ON for ASM and for the raw devices by default (can be turned off in the SPfile).

And yes, the only really STABLE platform for Oracle (out of SLES) are: SLES9 SP4 kernel 312, and SLES9 SP3 kernel 287 (with some minor posibility of system panic). SLES10 SP2 beavior with Oracle is not known (for example, we don't have RAC installation document on www.suse.com/oracle, which is a good indication that it may have a problems).

I myself did not approved SLES10 SP2 as an Oracle platform inside our company yet (it is used y a few developers, with a different results). IT don't mean that it does not work - but SLES10 is less stable vs SLES9 in general, so I will not be surprised if we dicover a problems there.
