Oracle was advising the use of hugepages in every Linux session I attended at OpenWorld.  I am using it on every Linux server 32 and 64 bit with more than 4 GB of memory.  The benefits (reduced processing overhead) increase when the SGA sizes are large on 64 bit systems.

Hugepages is a mechanism that allows the Linux kernel to utilise the multiple page size capabilities of modern hardware architectures.  Its important to know that utilising a huge amount of physical memory with the default page size consumes the TLB and adds processing overhead.
