We found a very serious problem with this (recommende) combination: - if I run Vmware ESX gues LInux SuSe Enterprise Server 10 (32 bits) - Enable ParaVirtualization - Install last VMI kernel. Then everything works, from the first glance. But if we run big Java application, then Java loops or freeze on new memory locking mechanizm (FUTEX). IT happens in PeraVirtualization mode only. As a result, new paravirtualization support, offered by SLES10 SP2, don't work as it should (I can use it with the Oracle but not with the java). VM support can't make much progress on it, and I am not sure, where the bug really is. PS. What is more interesting - bug is not easy to reproduce if guest disks arte on the local controller, but is pretty easy to reproduce if Vmware gues is allocated on iSCSI disks (they are iSCSI for VMware, and are just normal disks for the Linux guest). _______________________________________________ suse-sles-e mailing list [email protected] http://listx.novell.com/mailman/listinfo/suse-sles-e
