Dear experts, We are in the process of testing out some new IBM storage with our 10.2.0.3 Oracle RAC cluster database. In reading about some best practices from IBM, they mentioned that Tagged Command Queuing (TCQ) should be enabled at the kernel level. This will allow storage requests to be queued intelligently to minimize disk rotation and latency. Does anyone know how SLES in either 11 or 10 handles this ? I looked around and couldn't find documentation on this. Our testing environment looks like this: - Dell PE R905 (2 quad core CPUs). - IBM DS4800 4Gb + 14 array enclosures. - Oracle 10.2.0.3 (64bit) - SLES11 64bit (still testing out version 11. Production cluster uses SLES10 SP2 kernel 46). If any one has any experienced with configuring TCQ on SLES, I'd love to get some feedback. thanks. -peter _______________________________________________ suse-oracle mailing list [email protected] http://listx.novell.com/mailman/listinfo/suse-oracle
