Fast, it's a RAID with 6 disks.

I also got around 26 MBytes/s with
tar --blocking-factor=2048

Still way bellow the specifications of the tape drives.

I have two drives in the tape library, I can write to one or both in
parallel. In either case, the maximum I can get is 26 MB/s
