LINUX BS is 4K. So no matter what you configure in FS, buffers wil keep blocks in 4K chanks. It is why Oracle recomemnd (and use) dierctio on the file systems.

  Yes. FS block size can same as oracle block size for datafiles. FS block size for redo can be 128К.
  but ext3 dosn't support block size over 4K ( reiserfs too)

  I think what this recommendation for linux too.
