First make sure x86 version of Oracle product is installed in x86 OS & same with x86_64.

There are some reports that ORA_ASM_HOME is the cause for above error. Can you please try unsettling ORA_ASM_HOME or comment out variable ORA_ASM_HOME in /etc/profile.d/oracle.sh [if orarun is used]?
