Why do you want to install both packages on the same box? When you
install SAP with an oracle DB underneath, it is sufficient to install
sapinit. When you do not install SAP with oracle, why installing both
packages?

This behaviour is described in the SAP note 958253 regarding
installation of SAP software on SLES 10... I just got rid of my last
SLES 10, running SLES 11 now, but the situation is eqal.
