Hello, I am experiencing a troubling problem where my server "locks" up during the overnight hours. It does not happen every night but rather 1 or 2 days a week. The weight jumps to around 50 - 100. It is not a true lock-up; I can still log on, but I cannot shutdown Oracle (hangs when I run the command) or reboot the server. I need to perform a hard restart. I typically occurs during either a database export, online backup, or during a tape backup. I can't find any clues in any of the system log files or Oracle alert files. I am using the latest kernel. Has anyone experienced anything like this? SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 (x86_64) VERSION = 10 PATCHLEVEL = 2 Kernel:2.6.16.60-0.42.10 x86_64 GNU/Linux Oracle Database Version: 10.2.0.1.0 - 64bit Production Thank you, Glenn _______________________________________________ suse-oracle mailing list [email protected] http://listx.novell.com/mailman/listinfo/suse-oracle
