You can't install i386 Oracle on 64 bit SLES without some hacks, not recommende and not supported (but technically possible; I did it once). It is not supported by Oracle. But if you don't have another choice, look here http://ftp02.portera.com/Linux/Oracle-32-environment-on-Linux-x86_64.htm (Notice - it is a hack. Don't do it except if it is your last choice. Better, take XEN, run i386 Linux VM inside of x86_64 host, and install i3865 oracle into it. Or use VMware ESXi, it is free.) ----- Original Message ----- From: Kaya, Serkan To: 'Amit Jathar' ; [email protected] Sent: Wednesday, February 02, 2011 7:58 AM Subject: Re: [suse-oracle] oracle 11g R2 on SLES 11 Hi Amit, it's recommended to install the x64 Version on SLES x86_64 Regds, Serkan Von: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] Im Auftrag von Amit Jathar Gesendet: Mittwoch, 2.
