Kind Folks,

 We are creating a 11.1.0.6 RAC two node cluster using SuSE (Version 10
 SP3) Linux cluster using raw partitions and ASM. Clusterware installation
 was completed successfully but it fails to come up after the node is
 rebooted. Error message =

  (/tmp/ crsctl.12716) – Oracle Cluster Registry initialization failed

 the physical storage Operating System error [Permission denied] [13]

 Oracle Support extracted the following from the logs;

 Syslog error

 CRSCTL
 PROC-26: Error while accessing the physical storage Operating System error
 [Permission denied] [13]

And says;

 This is clearly a system side issue. You need to check with your Sysadmin
 about the below kernel error with this opcode 121

So, has anyone seen this before and knows of a patch to fix? It isn't a
common permissions issue since the clusterware works fine until reboot.

Many Thanks,

Scott Uhrick
