On SLES9, the orarun package would create the oracle user with UID 59 and oinstall with GID 54, all the time. On SLES11, the orarun package seems to pick a random UID and GID that are bigger than 100. This creates problems with access rights on NFS exports. Arun, can you please explain the reason for this change? The only solution I could think of, so far, would be to change the oracle UID, right after SLES installation, to a common value for all systems that will have NFS exports and mounts.
