cron.daily excutions not logged

Been playing with Suse a bit, and found something strange / interesting... =
I want to see execution history for scripts in /etc/cron.hourly, but there =
are no entries in /var/log/messages.
Other cron jobs (owner by root or others) are logged.
Scripts in /etc/cron.hourly are executed - that is not an issue. To test th=
is, I have created simple script like "date >> /tmp/date.txt" and I can see=
that it is really running hourly. However, no entries in /var/log/messages=
.
So, what is the trick? Where are cron.hourly runs logged?
