Hi! I've the problem that I can't get the packet writing to work. If I try to mount my udf formated disk via the pktcdvd device I get following: # mount -t udf -o rw,noatime,async,users /dev/pktcdvd/dvdram /media/dvdram mount: /dev/pktcdvd/dvdram: can't read superblock and in the kernel log I find following: Oct 8 12:56:32 jumpgate kernel: [4345380.371000] pktcdvd: Wrong disc profile (0) Oct 8 12:56:32 jumpgate kernel: [4345380.371000] pktcdvd: pktcdvd0 failed probe Mounting and writing to the disk directly works without a problem. Following is my setup: distribution: Ubuntu 6.06 Writer: LG - DVDRRW GSA-2164D Medium: Verbatim DVD-RAM 4.7 GB 5x /etc/default/udftools: DEVICES="/dev/sr1" UDEV=true NEWINT=true NEWINTNAMES="dvdram" /etc/fstab: /dev/pktcdvd/dvdram /media/dvdram udf user,noauto,noatime,async,owner,rw 0 0 # ll /dev/pktcdvd/ total 0 crw-r--r-- 1 root root 10, 62 2006-10-07 22:52 control brw-r----- 1 root root 252, 0 2006-10-08 12:27 dvdram brw-rw---- 1 root cdrom 252, 0 2006-10-08 12:27 pktcdvd0 # pktsetup -s 0 : 252:0 -> 11:1 -- Regards, Robert ---------------- Robert Penz robert AT penz DOT name
