hi there, Is this problem with pktwriting in newer kernels still not fixed? from dmesg: UDF-fs: Partition marked readonly; forcing readonly mount UDF-fs INFO UDF 0.9.8.1 (2004/29/09) Mounting volume 'LinuxUDF', timestamp 2007/06/25 00:57 (1078) mount -o remount,rw,noatime /dev/pktcdvd/<devname> does the trick. $uname -a Linux neo.lokaal.net 2.6.21-1.3228.fc7 #1 SMP Tue Jun 12 14:56:37 EDT 2007 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux One additional question: is or isn't it nescessary to use pktsetup with dvd+rw media (pktsetup <devname> /dev/scd0)? IIRC this was only manditory with cdrw media, dvd+rw hard+software would take care of proper packetwriting, but it has been a while since I last used packetwriting. Having huge problems with the dvd+rw I use as an emery backup for some very important files. -- Jeroen [email protected]
