errors mounting dvd+rw

I've had this occur more than once. I mount a formatted dvd+rw and get these 
errors:

# mount exits

After the mount command gets an error and exits I can try again and mount the 
dvd+rw without a problem (I didn't open the drive door) and diff all the files 
with no errors.
