First Time User

	Hello to the list!

	I'm a first time user to UDF/Packet CD.  So far, I've been using my DVD-RAM
as a glorified CD-RW using the extended cdrecord tools.  I'd like to start
using it as a DVD-RAM though, with UDF.  All of my discs have been
previously formated to ISO-9960 FS standard.

	I'm running a Debian environment, 'testing' level.  Here's my setup:

...  when I try and perform a "quick setup" on the disc to start using it
with UDF I get:

...  Any suggestions as to what I am doing wrong?  I've experimented with
setting the write speed (-t ?) to as low as 1 to see if that was the issue,
but no joy.  I skimmed google, but didn't find anything meaningful on the
matter.  Thanks in advance for all help.
