Please try to find out why it doesn't work - the fact that it's broken won't change otherwise :) Well, yes - this seems to be the case. However, I am not a (very good) programmer, and neither am I very familiar with the details of the boot process - especially in the Mac environment. I'm keen to see openSuSE PPC and pleased to help with testing but I simply don't have the understanding to do much to fix this. I'm hoping that someone on this list has. Yes, I can google, and have been doing so when I can find the time, but I've not found much to help.
