A second Ethernet port would make it great board for security /

Actually there is no timeframe. It is not an official BalaBit plan, at 
least not an official company goal. On the other hand many of my 
colleagues support the idea and find it very interesting. Zorp is often 
running now on huge x86 servers, and many of us think, that QorIQ would 
do the same job at a fraction of the size or energy requirements. And a 
successful PoC could turn it into a company project on the long run.

Personally I did Linux distro QA for a couple of PowerPC machines for 
about five years (I must admit, that I did boot my Pegasos2 this year 
only once...). This included creating installers, reporting bugs, asking 
for features to make life of distro users easier. I did it mostly for 
openSUSE and Ubuntu, sometimes other distributions. My other interests 
are different IDS softwares, like Bro, Suricata, etc.
