Gtk-Text: Schrift mit gleicher Zeichenbreite

Wie kriege ich es fÃŒr mein Funk-Programm mit Gtk-1.2 hin, 
daß in den Gtk-Textfenstern die Schriften (z.B. empfangener 
Text, aber auch Hilfetexte) nicht mit Proportionalschrift, 
sondern als "altmodischer" Schriftsatz mit gleicher 
Zeichenbreite (also wie auf der Textkonsole ohne xwindows) 
erscheinen?
