proxy-suite 1.8.1 stops working on suse 8.0 on a second connection

hi list,

i have a problem with the ftp-proxy. i am running it with magic user and
allow the PORT command.

the application (on the windows pc) logs in changes the directory and
retrieve all files everything works fine and everybody is happy.

but when whe application tries to download a second time things it also
logs in, but it the ftp-proxy brings then error-messages.

ftp-child [15440] <01/29-16:16:08> USER-INF Transfer for 192.168.0.5
completed: RETR '321456.lzh' read 496226/2 byte/sec
ftp-child [15440] <01/29-16:16:08> USER-INF closing connect from
192.168.0.5 after 5 secs - read 496250/3, sent 30/1 byte/sec
ftp-child [15442] <01/29-16:16:30> USER-INF connect from 192.168.0.5
ftp-child [15442] <01/29-16:16:32> USER-WRN 'CWD' from 192.168.0.5 not
allowed

but PORT and CWD are allowed commands. it works also the first time,
where the same commands are used?

any ideas?
