I'll bet your windows partition is NTFS and I don't think you can write to=
=20
that from Linux.  If you need space that both OS's can access you should=20
create a fat32 partition.

I have installed SuSE 9.0 as reiserfs format and Windows XP as ntfs on=20
the same hard-disk. The problem is that while working on Linux I am=20
able to access as well as read the windows partition, but not write to=20
it.=20
Right-clicking on one of the windows icons (like C,D,E) shows that the=20
partition is writable into (under the permissions tab) but its not so.=20
But when i see the permissions of the windows partitiion =C2=A0using la=20
command it shows only readable.=20
I am not able to change the access permissions using the chmod command=20
also.=20
Even during the installation I did writable.=20
Plz help me out.=20
